Following their Rookie Team of the Year award at the 2006 Virginia State FLL Championships , and their recognition before the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors; the team set out in the spring and summer of 2007 to perform various outreach activities which included: exhibiting at the DC Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, promoting FLL at a Reston Community Center summer camp , and the Virginia State Fair, and being inviting to build models on the set of Extreme Makeover - Home Edition.
